Since I was a kid I have always had turf burns and wounds on my knees and hips. Falling and slide tackling on artificial turf, gravel fields and even dry grass leaves marks on your body. A Lot of tights/base layer has been torn apart when you make the important slide tackle with just minutes left, or stretch yourself on the far post and knock in the game winning goal.
